FERC Should Be Independent, Not ‘Green’

Yes, FERC should be independent just like judges should be unbiased researchers of truth and neutral arbiters of conflicts. Just as medical professionals should be selfless angels for the public good saving lives or as defense attorneys should be disinterested aides to the clients. We live in a world where many things are shrouded in a veil of philosophical raisons d’etre with little or sometimes no practical applicability. People work at FERC and other people lead them. They will have opinions, objectives, and hopes as well as respond to perceived threats to their careers. They cannot be independent even if they wanted. Thats why their every stroke should be exposed to public scrutiny. Transparency is the best remedy for graft.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
