Former UK PM Gordon Brown: Time for ‘Global Government’ to Tackle Coronavirus

Oh yeah, that’s what they dreamt off when they wake up with wet undies. The Coronavirus crisis does not make the case for a world government, it shows the weakness of global structures. It makes the case for more local and much less global. Maybe it’s not possible to contain a virus when it hs entered the human world but the supply shocks our economies have suffered from can be worked on. We always talk about sustainability. How is producing anything from disinfectant to toilet paper in China sustainable? We need counties that reaffirm their independence and regions within those countries that take care of their citizens once again. And get out of their way when they solve problems a global caste of self-anointed politicians has created.
