Germany’s dream of building a fleet of hydrogen-fired power plants is faltering

It wasn’t a dream – it was an exercise in even more colossal money burning and Germans had enough of it. Germany is facing the worst economic crisis since WW2. What used to be a badge of quality is a badge of insanity now. People are simply not willing to take it anymore and the money is needed for gifts at the next election. Imagine, even with all the money printing and the massive jolt of future inflation we are experiencing now it’s not enough anymore. This house of cards is faltering.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
