Google Knew Exactly What They Were Doing: Models Only Do What They Are Told

In my last corporate job, I worked for a trading company. We used models all the time but I learned very soon that when nothing more than a model was presented as evidence for something, there was no basis in the factual world. Models are a method to identify possible patterns but once you identified something that might show promise, you need to go and find real evidence to back up what is nothing but an unfounded theory so far. Climate science is based exclusively based on models which tells me what it is worth instantly. Never mind that on top of it all the models have turned out to be wrong in the real world. It’s all hogwash.
