I was left flat by my electric car charging experience

When I was a kid I was told by my war generation elders that I could become almost anything I wanted. It was always abundantly clear that this meant I could choose any profession I wanted to engage in. And even this was not really boundless. The generation after us was told that they could become anything and they thought that they could be a fairy, a magician, a warrior on a distant planet, or a zombie hunter. Their Baby Boomer parents and peers never bothered to tell them that there is a real world and that it’s different from their mental wonderland. And here they are now – driving an EV and wondering that it’s a gut-wrenching experience.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
