That’s what many don’t understand. If you are running on oil and/or oil products, LNG is really cheap. Plus it takes the yellow haze away. I was at a speaking event in an island rich region of the planet with a warm climate once and made the case for LNG. One of the delegates told me that his was a poor island nation and that they could not afford LNG. I asked him if they used diesel for power production now. He answered very much so. It replied that then, LNG is cheap for him as diesel is the more expensive option.
