More EV Fail as Ford ‘Drastically Cuts’ Detroit Workforce

A couple of weeks ago, my younger son had to write a short essay on the pros and cons of banning cars from city centers. I helped him and tried to be balanced. I like car-free historical centers in narrow alleyed cities. I see the attractions and advantages of pedestrian-only zones. But blanket bans on large swathes of the city are draconian. My son brought it all up and added that EVs only are not a solution for him as those vehicles frequently burn for no reason and therefore present a serious hazard, especially close to historic buildings. His German teacher struck the sentence adding that this does not happen. Good to see that German teachers are experts in battery chemistry now.
