Noreen Does Not Like Paying Tax

As long as Electric Vehicles make up only a tiny percentage of the total fleet on the move, showering them with subsidies and at the same time waiving their normal tax duty is no big deal. It’s highly unfair and it’s pure posturing but the master of monies won’t feel it too hard. He starts to squirm when there are full percentage points to deal with and when this closes in on more than 5%, it becomes unbearable without cutting social programs. Doing that for the sake of subsidies to the elites won’t go down well with the electorate. Expect the goodies for all the green fun to disappear bit by bit. Expect a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth.
