Ocean Freight Shipping Rates Set to Rise Further

It is time shipping had a more realistic price. What’s unrealistic about the prices just before the current mess you ask? Well, we have gotten used to a world at peace and a globe that’s safe for everyone to use for trade. The one dominating paradigm of the Cold War was that at least on the US side of the spectrum, trade was free for all if they stuck to their side. The US Navy made sure of that. Increasingly, that’s not the case anymore. A policy that was originally designed to support partners of the US today benefits China or Russia which are adversaries. They sailed on the back of the US assured order. The US is not having it anymore. There is a price for everything and it is time we paid it again as this will bring lots of industries home.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
