Outsourcing Our Protection Made Us Weak

Any organisation from a small company to a state or a federal government fall victim to the manager virus and their urge to optimize everything. Optimization is really only cost-cutting. Outsourcing stuff is part of that. The Western world has allowed its armed forces to shrivel down to a non-functioning leftover. We had relied on the assumption that we won’t need them anymore and then bang, we needed them more than ever and now we pay through the nose. When managers start to talk about optimization, the rot starts.

It’s too bad we didn’t accept the woke’s offer to defund the police. They never thought their slogan through, and we should have closed with them before they had the chance. Just …

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
