Will China pay climate change “loss and damage”?

One could be forgiven for thinking that by now, most people should have understood that the world is full of lies and that anything coming out of China must be consumed with a ton of salt at the very least. I would personally go a lot farther and say that anything coming out of most such countries must be assumed to be totally false. I don’t believe anything my own government says and with all our flaws we are still a miracle of transparency as compared to countries like China. China will lie, it will berate, it will point fingers, and it will promise while having no intention at all of upholding any of its many promises.

I normally despise the bogus issue of "loss and damage," which is featured in the upcoming COP 28 extravaganza. But for now, I love it because it has squarely raised the long overdue issue of…
