Renewable Experts: Undeterred and Unmoved by Failed Ideas

I must confess that at times I am almost impressed by how unfazed those experts are in open discussions when they are presented with hard facts. They just either swat them off the table or in most cases they wait until you had your say and simply do as if the last 5 minutes did never happen. When you remind them that they have not responded to anything yet they still continue to drone on without ever discussing anything. They clearly trust that most people are so zombified that it does not matter anyhow. I have been through a number of such discussions. But putting their heads in the sand while populations suffer is a good way to wake some zombies up. It’s over – they just can’t stomach that.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
