RWE plans to bring Australian ‘green’ hydrogen to Europe

Australia, yes sure. Not enough that hydrogen is very expensive to produce, very hard to store, very hard to liquefy (otherwise transport is going to become a disaster) but all this has to be done on a value chain halfway around the world. Maybe it does not matter anymore as the numbers are out of this world anyhow so why bother with economics? North Africa is much, much closer if really you want hydrogen. That said, you may want to rethink hydrogen altogether.

Germany's RWE (RWEG.DE) plans to bring hydrogen produced in Australia to Europe, as big energy firms look to create new global routes for the cleaner alternative to fossil fuels.
