China says it wants to get off coal and while it does so it builds record numbers of brand new coal plants, each with decades of useful life in them. Whoever believes this gibberish must go and get a braincut at the hairdresser’s place.

Given the mutual concerns of the U.S. and China over the security of their electrical grids, there may be an opening for mutual agreement for restraint from potentially-threatening behaviors within each other’s grid networks.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
