Shipping must start planning for zero CO2

OK, let’s see how diligently the shipping industry worked towards the 2020 deadline. Loud snoring. That’s right, most of them hoped it would go away of they closed their eyes and covered their ears. It did not, but judging by that sight, all talk of 2050 is window dressing at best. Shipping still uses the worst filth of the barrel for fuel – CO2 is not really a concern as compared to what they are still dealing with.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
