‘Solar trash tsunami’: How solar power is driving a looming environmental crisis

The same is true for wind. Once the blades have served their purpose you can bury them. Or you can throw much more money into the wind and shred them to be mixed into concrete. It’s a step back to the seventies. Here in Austria, many houses were built with the scrappiest of building materials. When those houses are renovated, one finds all kinds of garbage in them walls. We will live in walls filled up with crushed solar panels and shredded blades.
