South and Southeast Asia to drive LNG demand growth

LNG has seen a roller coaster for the last 20 years or so. And the last 10 years were dominated by one bubble after the other – and they all have deflated. The latest one was China and this one is still with us but not quite as strong as many in the industry had hoped. So there needs to be another light on the horizon for project developers as oversupply makes them miserable. When the industry should get down and do some bone grinding market development. Just consider this: if Europe replaced its current fleet of large diesel trucks with LNG trucks, the current global production would not suffice to cover demand by half. Thats a mighty market to cut into and it could transform much quicker than the shipping market.
