The vast majority of people hate the reality they live in. Thats why most people spend so much time creating alternate realities – social media is only one of them and this was true long before social media even existed. But if you live in a virtual world, a world of your imagination you need benchmarks and those are being given by the outside as if you are able to define them yourself, why go to the trouble of creating a virtual world around yourself in the first place? This makes you open to narratives and there is no better narrative than a good old conspiracy theory laced with plenty of fear and drama. It’s a telenovela and in a good telenovela, you need evil. What’s real or not matters very little here.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
