Climate Bureaucrats Give China a Free Pass

China is not only the biggest emitter of anything under the Sun. It is also the one country that uses more than half of global coal consumption. Yes, that’s right. All other countries combined do not use up as much coal as China does and its growth is still accelerating. If ever CO2 would influence the climate, China would be the biggest culprit by any standard and any measure. Reining in China would have to be the most important objective of anyone buying the story about human-made climate change. And yet, it’s those same people that revile the West for its supposed killing of the planet that look away when the biggest sinner of all does its dirty work. Riddle me that.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
