The West’s electric car giants now risk destroying themselves

When I was a young kid, the Soviet Union was alive and kicking. Never mind that already under Stalin, the foundations for its eventual collapse were visible. That said, up until weeks before its eventual collapse, armies of Western analysts and politicians as well as other elites either praised the virtues and strength of the Eastern model or built up a scarecrow of unimaginable proportions. Steering anything from above by unaccountable bureaucrats has always been a recipe for disaster. There are still many alive who remember the bad old days. I crossed the Iron Curtain one day after its fall. What I and anyone who did so saw was a disaster. All steered and decided from above. Like the green madness.
