The Oil & Gas industry funding climate realism? Wouldn’t that be a thing? Let’s be real. Major oil & gas companies are fully invested in the Climate Alarmism thing. They pay big bucks to green lobbying organizations and I guess they do it for many reasons. Some may hope that paying up earns them a lighter touch by the activists. Some may have discovered a new business. Instead of drilling for oil and gas, they drill for taxpayer funds. In the end, they prefer guaranteed returns by state coercion to competing on the free market which oil and gas is. Green extremism is big business. There are estimates that the Green Industrial Complex is worth 10 trillion USD annually and worldwide. Whatever the truth is – it’s big money.
