U.S. Congress to International Energy Agency (Fatih Birol): Stop ‘Net Zero’ Cheerleading!

We need serious decluttering of international organizations. Some of them should be abolished altogether. That could be done if some of the biggest financial contributors just get out. That may be the case if Donald Trump becomes president again. We will certainly have a totally understandable urge to reform what we have but that may not be possible. Maybe through pruning them back so much that hardly anything remains. In some cases that would mean trashing 95% of the structures. Countries are the only sovereigns and their leaders should not have the luxury to point at international organizations to deflect blame for their own failings.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
