Want to Rule the World? Then Rule the Moon

I have been a space freak since I was born. No wonder because my mum popped me out in 1969, the year of the Moon landing. So stories about the impending colonization of the Moon always get me perking up. That being said, as nice as it is to be there and despite all the advantages such a position has, settling on large rocky bodies in the Solar System should not be our priority. Humans have evolved to live under conditions as we find them on Earth. Gravity, radiation, lunar dust, and a whole slew of other problems will plague us on the Moon. Free-floating habitats can be optimized at will. They are the true high ground. Jeff Bezos has this one right.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
