Thats the true state of our legislative bodies. And trust me, it’s not a bit better in my own country’s parliament. Those folks vote for stuff they have not the slightest inkling about. Nobody asks them to be experts in the matter they vote on but they should at least have a grasp of the bare fundamentals. They don’t as we can clearly see. What are they paid for? Why are we having them? Some of us know the answer to that question but far too few to matter. Politics is utterly broken. No matter what political party those zombies hail from.
