Where Are The SMRs?

Almost completely removed from the general public, there is a debate about SMRs even in my own country Austria. Never mind that Austria is the most anti-nuclear country on earth with legal provisions against nuclear energy in constitutional rank. This alone shows how unreal this debate is. I like SMRs. I think they are an outstanding path for future energy. But even the most optimistic proponents of SMRs don’t claim that the technology will be ready before 2030. How does any of that solve any problems we have now? It’s nothing but a figleaf for the green extremists dangling some hope before us so we don’t look for real solutions for our plight. And the real issues remain in the dark as well.
