Which Generation Is Most in Demand in Oil, Gas Right Now?

The Boomers are the biggest generation alive today. And even the youngest of them are retiring now. This means that except for some very young Boomers, GenX is the most senior generation in work today. And it’s the last generation that actually learned by putting their noses to the grindstone and not through some feely-feel mumbo jumbo. But we are also a very small generation so there will be a lot of Millennials that will be swept up the ladder early. And many will do what their heart tells them and not what their brain should tell them as many lack skills. Bud Light was just a taster of what is to come. That’s also an opportunity as some big old incumbents will bite the dust.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
