Who can you trust?

I started to stop depending on most mainstream online services years ago. I run my own servers, my own file service backup, and run my own, self-scripted tools to work with plus copious backups for everything. I even run hand-curated backups of most online stuff and contacts I have and I have done that for years. This gives me a lot of control in case someone tries to shut me out and preserves my data. As had happened to this blog. Shame because a lot of work had just disappeared. They are back I see. Better be safe than sorry.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
