Without fossil fuels, the Wuhan Flu would have us beat

Without fossil fuels pretty much anything that afflicts humans would be if not deadly then at least incapacitating. Fossil fuels are the thread holding back the sword over our heads. We live in their graces. Take fossil fuels away and see humanity descend into chaos. It’s not directly linked but look at the riots and lootings in some US cities right now. This is just a little window into a future without stable energy and a society where nobody can really afford the basics of life. Make life unaffordable and we lose our humanity. Is that what we want? Alarmists, RE advocates – respond. I blame you – at least in part – for what’s happening right now.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
