Are 1,600 new coal-fired power plants being constructed today?

458 coal plants under construction or development. Coal is not dead by a long shot. Also, none of those plats are short term investments. Those folks plan on keeping them hot for decades so if they are being built now, they will be there in 2050 and certainly in 2030. So much for coal that is touted to be dead.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
