Reality has a certain pull. All sects have this same problem. In time, some of their flock will flake off and tell the outside world how the sausage is made in the inner circle. That usually shocks people as it’s hard to believe how others can believe such nonsense. But it’s true and in time we get used to it. But the normal sect does mostly harm its members and people in its immediate vicinity. You can choose to be outside and remain outside in most cases. Not so with the climate cult.
Steven E. Koonin’s book Unsettled demonstrates conclusively that we don’t face a climate crisis so dire that only a radical government-controlled reshaping of the economy, people’s personal lives, and consumption patterns can solve it.
