Ex-bosses face criminal charges over Fukushima nuclear crisis

There are many plants that handle dangerous materials which are being milked for what they are worth as the management needs their free contribution in order to boost results and hence their bonus payouts. 5 years is little – they have condoned potential loss of health, life and property in order to forego the necessary refurbishment and/or closure of an old plant for their own gain. Thats worth way more than 5 years.

Five-year jail terms are being sought for three former executives at the company operating Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant, media reported on Wednesday, the only people to face criminal charges over the 2011 meltdowns.
