Hapag-Lloyd Orders Six LNG-Powered Mega Box Ships

Just last year, a single ship ordered with LNG as the fuel of propulsion made the front page. Today, you need bigger orders and very soon, they won’t make the news anymore as LNG will become the fuel of choice of the world’s shipping industry. It solves all the problems they have with dirty fuels and is cheaper than MGO. Don’t get me started on the technology factor. This stuff just works – no magic pixie dust required.

Carrier makes it a Merry Christmas for gas bunker advocates with $1bn order.
