Met Office Uses Junk Temperature Measurements to Fill “World Treasure” 350-Year Temperature Record

Whoever has a fight with reality as a result of following a narrative needs to bend the facts to the narrative. Narratives will necessarily conflict with facts – what is a narrative good for if the facts are clear? To be real, there are a lot of valid and useful narratives. If we don’t know something but have some idea about it, we create a narrative that makes sense to us. As long as we flag those narratives as such and don’t try to make them pass as facts, that would be fine. But we don’t do that. We use them in a role that does not befit them. We intentionally confuse them with facts. And allow ourselves to be driven by that. That’s a business now and once the money is rolling in, the show must go on. Even if the facts need some help.
