Shale oil output threatens to peak in 2024, Energy Aspects says

How many times were we told that shale would peak and go on a very steep downward trajectory? I have stopped counting. And yet, despite all the hardship that oil & gas had to endure over the years, despite all the Ponzi shale businesses that went belly up and the crazy methods that were sometimes used, the overall shale industry is well alive and kicking. And it’s doing better than ever before. Shale today is a far cry from shale just 10 years ago. Lots of lessons were learned and we know much of what does not work. Shale is going to stay and going to grow as long as politicians retain at least some neurons.

Don’t expect U.S. shale producers to ride to the rescue as the world clamors for more oil, according to Energy Aspects.
