After all the excitement and the high hopes, we still need to realize that there is still a long hard way ahead of us. And also that things are bound to get a lot worse before anyone has a true mandate to change things. Winston Churchill would never have been Prime Minister were it not for Hitler and WW2. People then realized that fun was over and that if there was not a person that could seriously attack the problems of the time, things would turn even uglier very fast. We don’t feel that sense of urgency yet so we need those who do nothing and give us good vibes. The road to salvation is long and twisted.

Prime Minister Liz Truss resigned after a brief and chaotic tenure that saw her announce a massive package of unfunded tax cuts before unwinding most of it in the face of a market rout.
