The BBC’s Pothole Propaganda

My city Vienna has been – once again – dubbed the world’s nr. one city to live in. Our quality of life is unmatched according to the folks at Mercer. Just – as a normal inhabitant you don’t feel it. Years ago I quarreled with a local politician who claimed that there is no poverty in Vienna skillfully ignoring the endless line at the entrance of a social market. Those markets sell massively subsidized commodities for poor people to survive. You don’t stand in line there if you are not poor. Potholes are a sign of no money in the coffers and they appear in the posh quarters now. Never mind that superheavy EVs wear out roads much faster than relatively light ICE vehicles.
