Drax Carbon Capture Could Cost Bill Payers £40 Billion

We are so used to big numbers that it’s hard to get excited about anything today. A billion is nothing. Tens of billions are pockets change and only trillions make us sit up, for a short instant. As long as governments can print money out of thin air, those numbers don’t produce immediate effects on the population. When eventually inflation (the price of money printing) catches up with us it’s because of a war or some other crisis but the true culprit is not named until things get truly nasty. We must prevent the government from spending money we don’t have. Sounds easy – it’s fiendishly difficult to enact.
