The Great Famine of the 21st Century

Agriculture in the 21st century still is mostly a “let’s put some seeds and fertilizer into some black soil and hope for the best”. There is great technology out there to push us into a new agricultural revolution and I am not talking of artificial meat. Pretty much all famines of the 20th century have been man-made, they were political in nature. Does not look like it’s going to change any time soon but when international trade fails and you are an importer of the chow, you should take a good hard look at your in-country option.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
