The social anatomy of climate change denial in the United States

There is one thing we can always trust – that elites and certain silos that are close to the elites (or feel close to them) in their unbearable arrogance will never really get why people are hurting. I get it – when you live a sheltered life financed by the taxpayer or some unaccountable multinational company and you never have to worry about things such as making ends meet, how can you possibly relate to the unwashed masses? When the latest political party in Austria that made it into parliament was founded, I was there. In the first meetings, I brought up energy poverty and was told by pretty much anyone that there is no such thing as poverty in Austria. They forgot that the entrance to the party HQ was just beside one of the social markets for the poor and it was packed.
