The Texas power grid is on the verge of another fatal collapse. Green energy is absent

This is not the first such thing happening in Texas and it’s not even the worst but still, most people in Texas seem to believe that it’s some weird voodoo magic that makes the grid fail while the true reason is right in front of their eyes. Texas is famously business and conventional energy-friendly but its politicians are nonetheless big fans of big-ticket, kickback-generating, cozy jobs-producing projects that must infinitely be sustained with massive flows of subsidy-style tax money. Those contraptions are called intermittent for a reason. They don’t deliver their energy when it’s needed but when the weather is right. Balancing this requires a much more sturdy grid, but green energy did not want to explain to people the sky-high costs. So they deal with the grid breakdowns instead.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
