Trinidad gets to work on design of small LNG hub to feed the Caribbean

That thing is more than overdue. Almost 10 years ago I tried to persuade some players in the US to do the same – not with much success. All it takes if you have a liquefaction plant is building a smaller jetty to not interfere with the big boats loading and unloading, some buffer tank, and a vessel thats right size for delivering smaller parcels of LNG over islands. A typical Caribbean Island cannot take a full conventional LNG tanker load – it would last them months making the tank extremely costly. But many islands are just right for mid-scale volumes of a couple of 10K m3 per delivery. Start with those and mop up the smaller fry later.
