U.S. Concedes Defeat on Nord Stream 2 Pipeline, Officials Say

I have a strong feeling that this is not the last word spoken on this issue. That being said, maybe if the US changes the angle a bit they would come to like NS2. The US is on its way to becoming a major LNG exporter and most of their LNG is produced on the USGC which gives to the Atlantic. Combined with oversupply, Europe is going to be the most important sink market for excess LNG. And this sink function is going to be ever more important to preserve producers’ capability to dump cargos. Its a hedge. More pipeline gas in Europe will enable Europe, even more, to play with LNG volumes providing much-needed flexibility services. Gas starved nations cannot do that. Just a thought.
