Woodside finds it’s not easy being green

It’s not easy to dance on two parties that are diametrically opposed to each other. The Climate Alarmist flock wants to kill fossil energy companies. Any fossil energy company now has to choose. Play the alarmists game or work fighting those that want to bring them down. So far, they thought that they might be able to muddle through. Bad news – that’s not going to happen. Either you stand by your side or you are toast. Thats true for all O&G companies.

Woodside is struggling to portray itself as both green and gassy with mixed messages about carbon emissions, the threat from renewables and why all the way with LNG is a sound long term strategy.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
