Most North Sea oil and gas projects risk being ‘unviable’ under Labour plans

That is the fundamental problem of any government policies that claim to solve market problems. Governments are the source of market problems. They regulate, interdict, tax, steer, and throw ungodly amounts of cash onto technologies and projects they like while taxing others they don’t like to death. But sometimes those they don’t like are also supposed to keep everyone warm, cozy and sometimes even alive. The two don’t go together and in a sense, that’s a good thing as there should not be any fig leaf for the green virtue signalers. They destroy what we have, they tank the economy, they wipe out jobs and revenues and they are responsible for the misery we have. No more hiding behind those they dump on all the time.
