Yes, it’s bad. And it’s going to get much worse. But contrary to Europe, North America has a performing shale oil and gas industry that can reliably take care of the strain on the system. But maybe it would still be better for Americans to have a catastrophe as bad as we have here in Europe. Americans are more innovative, they are much quicker at trying new things if what they have does not work. They would react and solve many of the riddles. That being said, we got what we got. And we have to deal with it.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
